The Whitstable Twinning Association invited us to Whitsable’s twin town in France, Dainville to be part of the opening of the town’s new skatepark and pump track!
The students benefited so much from the experience, building confidence, creating positive memories and for some it was their first time abroad!
The new skatepark and pump track is a great addition to the community. Our students also had a chance to try it out first and be part of the skateboarding demos for the locals to watch and be inspired by.
It was such a great three day trip, not just skating but also taking in local culture, and visiting both Dainville and Arras – including going on a tour of the First World War tunnels that run for 5 miles under the city!
It was such a great success that the Mayor of the City has invited all of us at the Far Academy back next year!
