The purpose of this qualification is to enable learners to operate independently and effectively in life, learning and work. It will help them to recognise a range of personal and social skills, and will encourage and support you to develop.
Developing personal and social skills will complement learning in other areas, like vocational learning or functional skills. The qualification aims to develop and formally recognise learners’ personal and social skills, to build on achievements and to make them appropriate and meaningful.
