ENGAGEMENT COURSES
The FAR Academy welcomes everyone, creating an inclusive and positive atmosphere where learners feel supported and valued. We believe that comfort and empowerment are essential for learning, helping students build confidence, discover new strengths, and develop a passion for their future.

Our Engagement Courses are six-week courses, where students get hands-on, practical skills in a uniquely inspiring setting. Courses run one day a week, either as a day-release option from your current educational placement or through referral if you are not currently in education.

Are you a young person, aged between 11 and 16?
• Do you struggle in mainstream education feel confined in a classroom or feel misunderstood?
• At risk of leaving school without qualifications or a positive progression pathway?
• Have you left school and need direction?
• In Year Groups 7-11?

Our Engagement Courses:
• Help to improve self-esteem and build confidence
• Employ a hands-on, practical learning style
• One-to one mentoring
• Embed science, history, maths, and art

The Far Academy is a full-time, independent, specialist, post-16 college,
for young people with EHCPs, who struggle with their social, emotional, and mental health,
providing practical learning in a safe, holistic, and nurturing environment.
